To  empower women to have an authentic & active relationship with Jesus Christ.

Vision

To see women live transformed and purpose-filled lives through the truth and love of God.

Heart Posture

Truth in Love Blog is for all women to empower you to walk in your purpose, encourage you through my devotionals to gain hope and fresh perspective through the lens of scripture, and equip you to grow in your relationship with Jesus. This blog was birthed from my testimony of moving from lukewarm Christianity to becoming all-in with Jesus. I grew up in a Christian household where my mom made sure I knew the Lord and attended church every Sunday as I grew up. When I was 8 years old, I accepted Jesus into my heart and got water baptized. Even though I believed God was real and wanted to follow him, I was more focused on following rules than having a relationship with Jesus. There weren’t many people in my life at the time to model what it meant to follow Jesus, and I fell into sexual sin, insecurities, hiding in shame, and living a lukewarm Christian life.

2020 marked me recommitting my life to follow the Lord wholeheartedly.  I attended a campus ministry conference earlier that year. During the conference, I rededicated my life to Jesus, got baptized, committed to walking in sexual purity, and decided that I was no longer going to have one foot in the world and one foot in with Jesus. Since that conference, I’ve fallen more in love with Jesus and have been intentional to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord in public and in private.

What drew me to this campus ministry that changed my life was their diligence in preaching The Gospel and what it meant every time they had an event. Because I was part of a ministry that kept Jesus at the center of everything, this allowed me to grow in my relationship with the Lord more deeply. I began to trust the nature of God because the Gospel showed me that He is personal, generous, kind, loving, all-powerful, and caring. This helped me to have a deeper understanding of God’s word and deeper intimacy with the Lord, become more mature in my faith, and allowed me to start walking in the good works He planned for me.

Even though I grew up going to church, I never understood the importance of The Gospel and how it applied to my life. I did not grow up hearing the message of what Jesus did for me often enough. I recognized that this was a problem not only for me but I wasn’t the only one who might’ve experienced this. I had the opportunity to do a campus ministry internship for a year and through this, I was able to disciple and talk with college students about their faith. What I noticed was that people were in different categories. People either:

  • Don’t believe in God/Jesus

  • Believe in a false religion

  • Grew up in a Christian home or church where they learned about Jesus but don’t follow Him right now.

  • Accepted Jesus as their savior but not as Lord; or

  • Are a believer but don’t live a life and/or have a solid belief system that is aligned with God’s Word

It burdens my heart to see so many people not have a relationship with Jesus and have wrong theology. But even more so, I feel righteous anger when I see people live lukewarm Christian lives. I believe this generation is missing believers who have a strong theology in Jesus Christ and are actively pursuing a relationship with the Lord.  Nowadays people are living out their truth and either not making their relationship with the Lord their #1 priority or forsaking the faith altogether. If the enemy can convince a generation of people to not treat their relationship with the Lord as important then they will be easily deceived and distracted from following the Lord which will hinder the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

My prayer for you sister, is as you read my devotionals they will bring you to the heart and truth of The Gospel that will help you to grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord. I desire for you to be all that God, your creator, has designed you to be from the beginning. So will you join me in walking in the truth and love of our loving Father to grow deeper roots in Him?
