First things first: I’ve really missed blogging. I really need to get into a better writing schedule!
Pretty much going with the theme of this whole blog, I have new and exciting things to share! Life has really fallen into place the past three months, and I could not be more thankful to God for all of the doors that have been opened to me. There are so many opportunities to learn and grow and I’m so excited!
I’ll start with the one negative thing. I’ve really slacked on my healthy eating and supplement taking, and let me tell you: it’s obvious. Finals week kicked in and never kicked out. When I decided to go to Dr. Jessica for some anxiety issues in December, I was all in for this new lifestyle. I was going to eat healthy indefinitely, always take my whole food supplements, and be completely motivated to be healthy. On down the road, I got frustrated and I decided to start eating the old way again and I gave up on my supplements. Bad idea! What you put in your body directly effects all other aspects of your health. That’s a lesson I’m learning the hard way. But on the bright side, I’m slowly transitioning back into that, and I’m going to start taking much better care of myself.
Now, for the real news:
1. I got engaged to my very best friend in May! He proposed to me on the front balcony of my apartment with several of our closest friends (plus my brother), and then we all went to eat together afterward. He had asked one of our friends to take some pictures as it happened. It was the sweetest surprise. I’m beyond thankful for this loving, dedicated, godly man. I can’t wait to call him my husband in just 38 days!
2. I graduated from Auburn University just a week later! Imagine all of those feelings at once. Time absolutely flew by. I’m so thankful for the time I spent at Auburn and the lessons I learned there – not just in class. I now have a Bachelor of Arts in English – Professional and Public Writing. Not to mention, I have this giant diploma!
So, as you can imagine, I have a lot going on this summer. I’m planning a wedding, and then I’ll move in with my soon-to-be husband in August after we’re married. God has richly blessed me – He has been with me in both the good and bad times throughout the years, and I’m excited to take this new path and glorify Him in all new ways. I am undeserving, yet He is good.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
